Now, this is the part where I pretend to be listening

Photoshop is a BITCH to set up at home. Can't even set the keyboard shortcuts for some reason and I really miss the school's Mac G5s now. That wonderful 1280x1024 resolution and everything is already set up for you nicely. Not that I can't go 1280x1024 on my spanking new PC but apparently 1024x768 is very small and unreadable for some people already.

And one thing good about this new computer is the whole 160GB for me to abuse, that's A LOT of Whose Line? episodes and I already have 17 episodes waiting for me to watch. The Richard Simmons episode was incredibly hilarious, even more than usual. If you don't know who Richard Simmons is, do a google search...or better yet, don't. He's this very....flamboyant and famous guy..who does a lot of aerobics and loves tank tops. He's nearing 40 if I'm not wrong. He wears short shorts. His hair is...OK I think I shall stop here.

A lot of new music on the computer too, heard the Singapore Government is going to make downloading stuff via kaaza and bittorrent illegal, ok there goes the use of Starhub MaxOnline.

Anyway, Straylight Run (http://www.straylightrun.com/) debut album is out and it's GOOD. Very listenable pop-rock, they won't sound out of place on local radio airwaves but in a good way. Can definitely see them getting big. Oh, John Nolan from the band was formerly from Taking Back Sunday, the back-up vocals guy.

Alright, anyway it's the holidays already. We're now in November of 2004. I'm not going to say that the last ten months went by in a flash because that's how time goes by when you look back. Think about it, time didn't go so fast when you were stuck in class listening to your lecturer about how the INTERNET WAS INVENTED AND THE GLORIOUS HISTORY OF THE WEB, did it?

The last ten months though, definitely had a lot of things going for me. I grew up (mentally AND physically, thank god) a little even though I'm still pretty much like 14 years old right now. Oh crap, reminds me, I think I'm undergoing puberty only now. PIMPLES ARE EVERYWHERE. There's one large one, luckily it's dissapearing slowly now. Large spots on faces are only for dalmatians and my dear class rep Joash. (hohoh, he's going to draw moles on my face using markers again) Where was I, yup, the last ten months. So much has happened, both bad and good and the EXTREMELY good (shut up, cliche alarm). The bad part was pretty fucking bad, just bad, really bad, think some of you know what I'm talking about. The "friend" who had to stoop soooo low. And the good...my class, awesome bunch of people (wait, have I said this before?). I pissed off a couple of people but I think they're fine now but yeah, still, awesome bunch of people.

And the EXTREMELY good is..her..wonderful girl. We went through quite a bit of crap (most of it was the "friend") and she didn't expect us to last over a couple of weeks. Hah, look where we are now and this story is never going to have an ending. I love you, Charmian. Ooh, I even made your name in pink because you're so girrrrly, just like the colour. OK, no, seriously, I love you for who you are.

Have more stuff to blog about but there is still a month of holidays, that's a lot of time for me to blog.

I am thinking it's a sign that the freckles
In our eyes are mirror images and when
We kiss they're perfectly aligned

And I have to speculate that God himself
Did make us into corresponding shapes like
Puzzle pieces from the clay

True, it may seem like a stretch, but
Its thoughts like this that catch my troubled
Head when you're away when I am missing you to death

When you are out there on the road for
Several weeks of shows and when you scan
The radio, I hope this song will guide you home

They will see us waving from such great
Heights, 'come down now,' they'll say
But everything looks perfect from far away,
'come down now,' but we'll stay...

I tried my best to leave this all on your
Machine but the persistent beat it sounded
Thin upon listening
That frankly will not fly. you will hear
The shrillest highs and lowest lows with
The windows down when this is guiding you home

What a sweet song, it's "Such great heights" by The Postal Service.

Argh, many of you may not know, but Singapore Polytechnic actually has a rule against people wearing slippers to school. Well, what do you know, out of the 52758993 people wearing them, I actually got caught and got slapped with a $50 fine. Idiot fat overzealous lecturer who has nothing to do other than eat, drink, eat and catch people for wearing slippers. The others don't fucking care, why should you? Trying to move up the ranks as quickly as possible before you die of heart failure? Then I saw him catching a girl (in the lift again, like me) for no reason. She was dressed normally, I don't see anything wrong at all. Argh. Go to hell, and don't make too much of a splash in the lake of Sulphur, you are hated enough already. And the stupid $50 fine, I have a lot of better uses for that money ok...

Argh I'm going through a pretty tough patch with some other problems now, hope it clears up quickly. My classmates are making my life passable. But it's Charmian who's making me smile at the end of the day, I love her too much and it's only going to increase until I burst and die...happily.
